Soul Food: November 13, 2018

Hi Soul Food Friends!  It's been a while!  Where do we even begin?!?  SO many fabulous things to share with you as we head into the holiday season!  Today, we're hitting the high notes and sharing what we absolutely can't get enough of!  As in, we're just BURSTING to share these with you!

We stumbled upon this caramel and toffee company via Magnolia Journal, and fell in love this their storyof dreaming big, pursuing excellence, and doing what you love.  Check out Shotwell Candyand get 15% off your first order with the code: TRYSHOTWELL15

Our very favorite, Joanna Gaines, has a new book out!  Check out Homebody: A Guide For Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave.

Emily Ley, another favorite, has a brand-new line out at Target!  Check out these darling planners and calendars--the perfect gift!

Lysa TerKeurst's newest book, It's Not Supposed To Be This Way: Finding Unexpected Strength When Disappointments Leave You Shattered, hits shelves TODAY!  Y'all, this book is raw, profound, and full of hope.  She has written from a place of darkness and pain, and brought it into the light.  This is a must-read!  And check out this powerful interview where Lysa shares her story on The Today Show.

Lauren Daigle is topping charts left and right, and for good reason!  She's recently released one of the most powerful albums we've heard in years--no matter what you're going through, this album is chocked full of hope and joy!  Watch as this faith-filled singer takes Ellen and Jimmy Fallon to church with her soulful anthems!

This article about UVA basketball coach, Tony Bennet, rising from a devastating NCAA tournament loss in March, moved us to tears.  Our favorite line?  "It kind of sparked something in me...I desperately want Virginia and this team that I coach to have a chance to one day play for a national championship, to win a national championship, go to the Final Four. That has inspired me in a way maybe only a loss like that can.  But it did something else that I think’s as important, or more important: It made me realize if that doesn’t happen, I’m still OK."

Our favorite gift guides are slowly emerging in preparation for the holidays!  Check out two of our favorites:
