Food

These slow cooker curried red lentils are a cheap and easy dinner to throw together in the middle of the day. We were SHOCKED how delicious they were! A few notes: we omitted the chiles, used coconut milk, and DID add the butter. The butter helped make it more of a savory, creamy dish, in a way that only butter can.

Watch this video and you'll see why they claim it's "the only cocktail recipe you'll need this summer." Cheers!

Family & Home

Great tips on how to take a road trip with small kiddos.

A sweet read on what you can learn from being raised by a strong mother.

Faith

Past Changing Seasons Speaker, Sara Hagerty, shares some exciting news, in the most beautifully, eloquent way. Our favorite line? "If I choose to hope, then I’m also choosing to trust Him to hold all the mess of me that surfaces as I face the fret and uncertainty that I mostly stuff when I don’t open myself up to hope." Missed her Changing Seasons talk in Virginia Beach? Watch it here.

Fun & Fabulous

Politics aside, we have recently fallen in love with Ivanka Trump's shoe line. We recently purchased a pair of $80 slingback pumps and we were shocked to find they had a similar look, feel, design, and comfort as a $600 pair of Jimmy Choos...we're serious! You can grab some on sale here. Speaking of sales, there's still time to take advantage of Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale--see our favorite picks, here.

Do you love La Croix as much as we do? Light and refreshing with no sweeteners, no calories, no sodium--what's not to love?! Maybe we're dorks, but we loved reading this article on the rise of sparkly beverage. If only we had the foresight to buy stock back in 2011! #livelacroix

That's it for this week!  We'll see you next week!
